About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Aerospace Engineer to join Nova Systems in a hands-on technical leadership role. This position will suit a seasoned aerospace professional who thrives in a collaborative design environment, enjoys leading engineers, and delivers certified aerospace solutions for civil aviation and Defence clients. Brisbane is the preferred location; however, we will consider suitable candidates in other locations.

Operating at principal level within a design office environment, you will provide technical authority, leadership, and engineering governance. You will lead the delivery, certification, and approval of aerospace designs in line with CASA regulatory frameworks, while mentoring engineers and driving high-quality project outcomes.

What You’ll Be Involved With

• Performing duties as a CASA Part 21 Authorised Person (AP) / Certification Verification Engineer (CVE)
• Leading development, review and approval of aerospace designs
• Providing technical leadership and resolving complex engineering issues
• Mentoring and developing engineers
• Supporting proposal and opportunity development
• Managing projects when assigned

What We Would Like From You

• CASA Part 21 AP/CVE or ability to obtain
• Principal understanding of CASA certification standards
• Extensive civil aerospace engineering experience
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
• Australian citizenship and clearance eligibility
