Job Description

As a Regulatory Advisor, you will be responsible for conducting environmental due diligence and obtaining the necessary approvals to support network deployment and maintenance activities.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure Land Access processes that are part of the end-to-end delivery of all Fibre Orders across the business are met
  • Ensure regulatory (environmental approvals) have been considered and that the fibre installations are legally permitted
  • Develop and implement opportunities to improve agreements/licence execution throughput and process flow, while continually seeking to review and update processes
  • Provide advice relating to land access matters, with reference to the Telecommunications Act 1997 (Cth).
  • Implement, maintain and monitor an Environmental Management System (EMS)
  • Maintain Monthly/Quarterly reporting of activities and initiatives.

What You Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in either Environmental management or Property management
  • Experience dealing with property matters relating to leasing and objections to LAANs issued would be highly advantageous
  • Prior experience supporting rollouts of infrastructure, (e.g. Telstra, NBN) and/or Property Management experience
  • Exposure to working commercially within a regulated framework, preferably with experience in working with different levels of jurisdiction (Commonwealth, State and others).
  • A broad understanding of environmental planning processes nationally.
  • An understanding of state-based telco construction works.
