Public Markets Operations supports the end-to-end operational activities of PSP’s public markets investment platform. The team works closely with investment teams, technology partners, external service providers and project teams to ensure operational continuity, accurate reference data, effective system support and the successful delivery of operational and technology transformation initiatives.
The role reports to the Senior Director, Public Markets Operations, and acts as a key point of contact between Public Markets Operations, Technology, project teams and internal business stakeholders.
As a Senior Advisor, Public Markets Integration and Servicing, you’ll:
Act as a senior operational and system integration resource for Public Markets Operations, supporting daily production activities, incident resolution, business initiatives and system-related enhancements
Lead, coordinate and support reference data, operational data and migration activities for Public Markets, including legal entities, party relationships and other related Data Domains for our Book of Record system
Support system implementation, transformation, data integration and enhancement activities by acting as a central business point of contact for Public Markets Operations requirements, operational impacts, readiness activities and testing support
Analyze complex operational and cross-functional issues, identify practical and sustainable solutions, manage and coordinate resolution with business users, technology teams, project resources and external vendors
Support production processes, including Night Chain incident management and operational chain monitoring, while contributing to coverage models and escalation practices for critical activities
Work closely with internal stakeholders, technology partners and external service providers to ensure that system changes, data mappings and operational requirements support Treasury, Compliance, Public Markets and downstream consumers of operational data
Prepare, maintain and validate operational documentation, migration materials, runbooks, procedures and issue logs to support initiative delivery and business continuity
Provide guidance to colleagues and act as a trusted resource for operational questions, system behavior, data dependencies and process impacts
Advise, advocate and contribute process improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify, strengthen or automate operational processes while minimizing disruption to business activities
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, information systems or another relevant field.
A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in investment operations, public markets operations, investment systems, data operations or related financial services functions
Strong understanding of public markets operational processes, including trade lifecycle support, reference data, settlement data, counterparty data, collateral-related data and system dependencies
Experience supporting large-scale transformation, migration or system implementation initiatives, preferably involving SimCorp Dimension, Bloomberg AIM, SWIFT, Bottomline, or similar investment operations platforms
Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate complex operational issues, assess downstream impacts and coordinate practical solutions
Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, technology teams, project teams, external vendors and cross-functional partners
Strong documentation, communication and coordination skills, including the ability to translate operational needs into clear requirements and actionable follow-ups
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; experience with data files, system extracts, runbooks, operational dashboards or SQL-based analysis is an asset
Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
