About our group | Mō te roopu
The Corporate Services Group works in close partnership with the wider business to lead, support, and enable the EPA to achieve its strategic intentions and effectively and efficiently deliver its core functions.
There are four key functions within the Corporate Services Group.
Communications and Customer function:
Provides leadership and support in the areas of communications and media management, corporate communications and publications, ministerial and government engagement, and information with the public through official correspondence and customer contact centre.
About the role | Mō te tūnga
This role is based in our Wellington office. While we're happy to consider work-from-home arrangements, this role is not designed for full-time remote working.
Core responsibilities are:
Writing and managing responses to Official Information Act (OIA) and Privacy Act requests, Ministerial correspondence, and parliamentary questions.
Collaborating across the organisation to ensure responses are complete, timely, accurately reflect the EPA’s strategic direction, and fulfil our OIA or other legislative requirements
Identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiencies and improvements
Coaching and supporting team members and training staff on the OIA
Joining the dots across the organisation, providing context and detail for responses, and enabling us to tell our wider EPA story.
About you | Mōhou ake
We are looking for someonewith a range of skills and experience – if you have some or all of the below, we would love to hear from you
An in-depth knowledge of the OIA, the Privacy Act, and machinery of government
Sound judgement and ability to manage and mitigate risk
Ability to work independently and calmly to manage deadlines
Attention to detailand strong organisational skills
Ability to work collaboratively across the EPA
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
An eye for continuous improvement and development of new processes

Salary range
$87,702 - $131,554 per annum (midpoint $109,628).
This is the full salary range of the band, from 80% - 120%. Appointments will generally be made at or below the midpoint of this range, depending on skills and experience.
