About the role | Mō te tūranga mahiAs Senior Advisor – OIA Services, you will play a critical role in supporting ACC’s transparency and accountability by managing complex and high‑risk Official Information Act requests. Working within the Government Engagement team, you will provide expert advice, lead quality assurance, and strengthen organisational capability in the management of official information, contributing to high‑quality, timely responses that support public trust and informed decision‑making for New Zealanders.We’re seeking a dedicated Senior Advisor to join our dynamic team. You’ll play a pivotal role in managing complex OIA requests, mentoring advisors, and driving continuous improvement across OIA Services, contributing to keeping Kiwis safe at work, at home, and everywhere in between. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing high‑quality, timely responses to complex and sensitive requests under the Official Information Act
- Providing technical guidance, quality assurance, and mentoring to Advisors within OIA Services
- Supporting the development and implementation of initiatives that lift OIA capability and quality of advice
- Working in partnership with managers and staff across the organisation to manage risk and deliver outcomes
- Leading or contributing to significant projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required
The appointing salary for this role will sit between $101,287 to $131,077 based on experience and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution. About you | MōuYou will bring:
- Demonstrated experience managing complex and high‑risk Official Information Act requests
- Strong knowledge of the legislative and regulatory environment governing ACC and official information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proven experience producing high‑quality advice and reports
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and relationship‑building skills
- The ability to apply sound judgement, manage risk, and work effectively under pressure and to deadlines
- Experience mentoring or providing professional guidance to others
- A collaborative approach and the ability to influence without direct authority
- You must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application
