• Help prepare Rio Tinto Iron Ore for the successful implementation of our new Modern Enterprise Resource Planning (mERP) platform – a major business transformation, supported by SAP S/4HANA, that will simplify and standardise the systems, processes and ways of working we use to run our business.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Advisor mERP to lead Operational Readiness activities for the Iron Ore Product Group, helping ensure our people, processes, systems and operations are prepared to successfully adopt this new system and the changes that come with it.

You will connect our global program with Iron Ore operations, translating what is changing into what needs to happen on the ground. You will bring people together, identify readiness gaps and risks, coordinate actions and help our operational teams prepare for a safe deployment, effective adoption and smooth transition into business-as-usual operations.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Manager of Asset Management Readiness – Asset Management Technical, you will:

• Lead operational readiness activities across the Iron Ore Product Group, coordinating plans between global program teams and site operations.
• Translate implementation requirements into practical readiness plans that support successful deployment outcomes.
• Facilitate workshops, planning sessions and stakeholder engagement activities to prepare teams for implementation.
• Monitor readiness progress, risks, dependencies and issues, coordinating mitigation actions where required.
• Develop readiness dashboards, performance indicators and reporting that track deployment progress and business benefits.
• Build strong partnerships across Operations, Asset Management, Digital & Technology, Finance, Supply Chain and People teams.
• Support business adoption, capability development, transition and hypercare activities following implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and supporting standardisation of successful practices across operations.

Required for Success

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
• Demonstrated experience leading operational readiness, business readiness, implementation or leadership activities within an operational environment.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary stakeholders and workstreams to deliver business outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and communication skills.
• Experience managing risks, dependencies, issues and readiness activities associated with large-scale change programs.
• Ability to analyse information, develop practical implementation plans and influence decision-making.

Helpful for Success

• Experience supporting SAP or other enterprise system implementations.
• Knowledge of operational leadership, planning, asset management or business process improvement practices.
• Experience developing readiness metrics, dashboards and business performance reporting.
