What are your contributions to the team?

  • Advise senior management on Product Safety and risk mitigation strategies to improve organizational processes, operational performance, and overall safety outcomes.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize Safety Management System (SMS) standards, tools, and processes, and provide training and guidance to staff to ensure effective deployment.
  • Assess and monitor the effectiveness of SMS implementation, recommending improvements to organizational methods, operational processes, and safety procedures.
  • Identify Product Safety hazards, conduct investigations, perform risk assessments, and develop contingency and problem-solving plans to support continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Lead and coordinate Product Safety initiatives and strategic projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to implement process improvements and strengthen SMS effectiveness.
  • Define, map, and optimize business processes to improve operational efficiency, safety outcomes, and overall organizational performance.
  • Conduct research on industry practices, participate in consultative organizations, and provide recommendations to enhance safety management processes and benchmark best practices.
  • Support organizational change initiatives that could have an impact on product safety, including facilitation of problem-solving workshops and communication of key processes to stakeholders.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You possess a technical college degree or bachelor’s in aerospace or in another technical related field.
  • You have a minimum of 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry.
  • You are knowledgeable of SMS related regulations and international standards (SM-0001).
  • You have experience with project management principles and tools (an asset).
  • You have experience with risk management principles and tools (an asset).
  • You possess strategic outlook.
  • You demonstrate teamwork abilities.
  • You possess leadership skills.
  • You are innovative.
  • You possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • You are skilled at influencing others.
  • You are bilingual in written and oral French and English (essential).
  • You master the Microsoft Office suite.
