Position Summary

The Senior Advisor, Business Systems Integration Project Manager will lead the delivery of integrations between DISA’s background screening platforms and the Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HR technology, recruiting technology, and HRIS platforms used by our clients. This role is responsible for managing integration projects from initiation through production launch, ensuring projects are delivered on time, meet technical and business requirements, and provide a high-quality experience for both internal stakeholders and clients. The position leads complex, high-impact integrations involving enterprise clients, multiple platforms, and significant cross-functional dependencies.

Essential Functions and responsibilities:

  • Lead integration projects from initiation through deployment, stabilization, and closure while managing complex enterprise‑level implementations across multiple platforms and teams.
  • Define project structure by establishing scope, requirements, milestones, timelines, dependencies, governance, escalation paths, decision processes, and change controls.
  • Develop project plans and maintain status updates, risk and issue logs, action items, and performance tracking across scope, schedule, quality, client experience, and launch readiness.
  • Identify and resolve risks by proactively addressing dependencies, delivery challenges, and cross‑functional blockers.
  • Manage resources by balancing multiple concurrent projects, coordinating resource needs, and partnering with leaders to resolve competing priorities.
  • Ensure process adherence by driving alignment to established integration standards, patterns, and delivery timelines.
  • Communicate with stakeholders through clear updates on status, risks, decisions, and changes while facilitating kickoff, status, escalation, and steering meetings.
  • Translate requirements by converting business needs into actionable technical requirements and coordinating data mapping between ATS platforms and DISA systems.
  • Partner across teams including Engineering, Security, Legal, Compliance, Sales, Implementation, and Account Management to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory alignment, and clear ownership.
  • Coordinate technical delivery by facilitating discussions, documenting decisions, and overseeing development, configuration, testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
  • Lead testing and validation through end‑to‑end test coordination, defect tracking, client validation, and readiness confirmation.
  • Serve as primary contact by leading structured client meetings, setting expectations, and building trusted relationships through proactive communication.
  • Drive continuous improvement by conducting post‑launch reviews, incorporating lessons learned, and identifying enhancements to lifecycle processes, tools, documentation, and standardization.
  • Mentor team members by providing guidance, supporting best practices, and contributing reusable templates, checklists, requirements documentation, and integration playbooks.
  • Support repeatable delivery by contributing to standardized ATS integration implementations and ensuring documentation is complete prior to project closure.
  • Others duties as assigned

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 7+ years of experience managing technical projects, software implementations, integrations, or similar technology initiatives.
  • Experience leading complex, client-facing technology or integration projects.
  • Experience with project governance, change control, risk management, and executive reporting.
  • Experience managing projects involving APIs, system integrations, SaaS platforms, or data exchange.
  • Strong understanding of software development and implementation lifecycles.
  • Strong project planning, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing external clients and multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify gaps, dependencies, and risks.

Work/Training Schedule: Mon – Fri 8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST

Travel: This position requires regular travel to support partner and client meetings, integration discovery, implementation activities, industry conferences, and related business needs. Travel is expected to average approximately 25% based on business needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak, hear, have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Walk (occasionally), sit- up to 8hrs. a day, stand (occasionally), use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, able to lift up to 15lbs.(occasionally).

Job Pay Range

$95,000 - $125,000 Annually (DOE)
