Help safeguard the land that feeds our communities while shaping a sustainable future for NSW.

• Be a trusted agricultural advisor, providing expert advice on complex developments, infrastructure projects and rezoning proposals.
• Work on diverse and meaningful projects, from land capability and soil assessments to water availability, rural planning and strategic land-use decisions.
• On-going, full-time opportunity (35 hours per week)  
• Parramatta, Wollongong or Newcastle and other NSW office locations to be considered with flexible working arrangements supported.
• Clerk Grade 9/10 ($133,348- $146,945)  

In this role, you will help shape decisions that protect the agricultural resources and productive landscapes that communities across NSW rely on. You'll provide expert advice on major development, infrastructure and rezoning proposals, assessing how projects may impact agricultural land, water resources and rural environments. Working closely with planners, government agencies and stakeholders, you'll help ensure growth is managed in a way that supports both prosperous communities and a sustainable agricultural future.

We're looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about the future of agriculture and the important role it plays in supporting communities, regional economies and food security.
• Brings experience in agricultural assessment, land capability, environmental science, rural planning or a related field, with the ability to provide practical and evidence-based advice.
• Understands the challenges and opportunities facing regional and rural communities, and can balance agricultural, environmental and development considerations.
• Can analyse complex information and translate technical findings into clear, practical recommendations that support sound planning decisions.
• Builds strong relationships and works collaboratively, engaging effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Enjoys mentoring and sharing knowledge, contributing to a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and technical excellence.
