Mission of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL): The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is part of the Under Secretariat for Arms Control and International Security (T) within the Department of State (DOS). INL’s mission is to minimize the impact of international crime and illegal drugs on the United States and its citizens by providing effective foreign assistance and fostering global cooperation.
The Senior Advisor serves as a principal counselor to the Assistant Secretary and INL Front Office leadership on transnational organized crime (TOC) and emerging global security threats. The position provides senior-level strategic analysis, policy integration, and advisory support for INL and T. This position requires a deep understanding of transnational criminal organizations; extensive senior-level experience in national security, foreign policy, law enforcement, or related fields across government, international organizations, or strategic advisory roles; and strong leadership and communication skills.
The period of performance for this order will be one (01) year from the date of award with the option to extend for six (06) months subject to performance, need, and funding. The INL Contracting Officer (CO) will notify the Vendor of the Government’s intent to exercise an option prior to the end of each performance period.
