About This Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Senior Advancement Coordinator. In this role you will play a key role in delivering alumni engagement and Leadership Annual Giving initiatives across EAIT. You will lead targeted outreach, events, and communications, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and promote best practice in educational philanthropy as part of a collaborative, high-performing team. You will be required to travel for events and work after hours or on weekends from time to time.
Key responsibilities will include:
Engagement: Plan and deliver high-impact alumni and donor engagement initiatives across EAIT, leading events, communications, and fundraising activities. Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders, support EAIT alumni councils, and develop systems to track and enhance engagement outcomes.
Fundraising and Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage key donor relationships to drive Leadership Annual Giving outcomes, including prospect identification and stewardship. Develop and monitor fundraising campaigns, coordinate donor engagement activities, and implement targeted stewardship strategies to strengthen relationships and enhance annual giving performance.
Collaboration/Support: Provide leadership and guidance to engagement staff across EAIT, supporting the delivery of aligned engagement and fundraising activities. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across Advancement and Community Engagement and the wider University to support a cohesive One-UQ approach.
About You
A tertiary qualification with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience, or extensive work experience/specialist expertise in community engagement, events management and/or marketing and communications.
Demonstrated success in leading the design and delivery of high-quality events and activities within designated budgets. Experience in events management is essential.
Advanced organisational and planning skills including excellent attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to use initiative, prioritise own workload, solve complex problems and meet strict deadlines.
A comprehensive understanding of fundraising and alumni relations principles, with experience applying these to advance donor, alumni and volunteer engagement outcomes.
Strong understanding of marketing and communications principles, with experience applying data-driven evaluation and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance engagement and fundraising impact.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, build and sustain strategic relationships, handle sensitive information with sound judgment, and effectively communicate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
High-level proficiency in the use of a wide range of computer applications (particularly Microsoft Excel). Knowledge and use of databases or CRM systems. Experience using the Raiser’s Edge database would be an advantage, although not essential.
Experience in a tertiary environment is desirable.
