Monday-Friday (occasional evenings and weekends) Position is available for a Hybrid Telework workweek
Assists the ESL Director with implementation and oversight of a robust K-12 Language Assistance Program for English Learners (ELs), including required state testing data, English Language Proficiency (ELP) assessments, and compliance with all state and federal requirements for EL learners.

Assists Director in planning overall budget expenses each fiscal year.
Assists Director in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations and policies related to Els.
Maintains knowledge of current trends, developments, and research in the field of ESL and ELs.
Assists Director in allocating district ESL teacher months of employment (MOE) each spring, and follows up with Human Resources, as needed to assist with displaced ESL teachers.
Supports principals in coordination of itinerant ESL teachers.
Assists school leaders in recruiting and recommending qualified EL candidates, as well as implementing program requirements, including scheduling and high-quality instruction.
Assists in planning and facilitating professional learning for K-12 ESL teachers, classroom teachers, and administrators.
Collaborates with district partners and teams to develop and improve local practices.
Perform other related duties, as assigned.
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff and staff members of external funding agencies, and the community. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force.
