Department Summary
The Division of Research and Innovation at the University of North Texas supports the generation and dissemination of knowledge by assisting faculty and students in their research, scholarly work and creative activities. Our mission is to support, facilitate, and empower the growth of sustainable research at UNT. This mission is achieved by facilitating an interdisciplinary approach to research, a catalyst for discovery and innovation, that has cemented UNT's status as a Tier One research university.
The Sr Administrative Coordinator position provides direct administrative support for the Associate Vice President Research, Research Development & Operations; and staff within the research division units of: Research Development, Materials Research Facility (MRF), Cleanroom Research Facility, and Center for Microelectronics in Extreme Environments (CMEE). This position's administrative support duties include, but are not limited to: managing unit events and project coordination, travel, procurement, personnel hiring, asset and space management. Position requires the use of considerable independent responsibility and initiative to support the assigned units. The position also collaborates with university administrators, faculty, staff and students, so must be able to perform duties at a very high level with often sensitive and confidential administrative work.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
