Priory Hospital Roehampton is looking to recruit a Senior Addictions Therapist to join the team. This is a full-time/37.5 hours role.
Priory Hospital Roehampton, a registered hospital in London, is a welcoming and highly respected rehab facility, offering expert mental health and addiction treatment.
We support people facing a wide range of mental health challenges, providing specialist care for depression, anxiety and addictions. Our team offers tailored treatment for substance addictions, including alcohol, cocaine and heroin, as well as behavioural addictions like gambling. We also provide outpatient support for adults with eating disorders.
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

Candidates should have substantial experience working with individuals affected by substance use disorders, ideally in both individual and group settings. A recognised qualification in counselling/ psychotherapy is essential, along with accreditation (not just registration) with a relevant professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP, HCPC). Social work qualifications are not applicable for this role. Experience in delivering evidence-based interventions such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, or trauma-informed approaches is highly desirable. The role also requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an advantage.
