The Experience Analytics Shared Service Center (XPSSC) plays a pivotal role supporting business units in their monitoring and experience study capabilities, as well as ensuring the Asia segment is future ready to adopt new technology, support sustainable quality growth in Asia, and our strategic priority of using AI to reimagine how we work and create value.

The Senior Actuarial Manager/Associate Director – Developed Markets will lead the modernization initiatives with respect to developed markets. This includes initially supporting ADM (Actuarial Data Modernization), PBI monitoring dashboards build and subsequently conducting end to end study analysis for studies, monitoring and forecasting.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead end‑to‑end lapse, mortality, morbidity experience studies for developed markets, including scoping, data validation, analysis, recommendations, documentation, and audit readiness.

  • Drive modernization of experience analytics, supporting ADM data modernization and shaping future study workflows, controls, and templates.

  • Oversee quarterly and monthly monitoring, using PBI dashboards to explain trends, exceptions, and G/L impacts to senior stakeholders.

  • Translate analytical results into clear business narratives, providing insights and actionable recommendations for pricing, valuation, and management teams.

  • Engage regularly with BU Chief Actuaries and experience teams to gather feedback, align methodologies, and continuously improve XPSSC value delivery.

  • Partner with IT and RAS/GFA teams to ensure data pipelines, dashboards, and analytical outputs meet actuarial needs and RAS/GFA governance standards.

  • Champion consistency and best practices, maintaining standardized templates, documentation, and study methodologies across Asia.

  • Identify opportunities for automation and AI-enabled analytics, reducing manual work and improving efficiency and insight quality.

  • Manage, coach, and develop junior actuarial staff, providing technical guidance, performance direction, and professional growth support.

Required Qualifications

  • Fellow or near‑Fellow (FSA or Equivalent) with 7-10 years of actuarial experience

  • Strong technical capability in experience study methodologies, GLMs, exposure/A‑E calculations, credibility, and trend analysis; proficiency in SQL, R, Python, or similar analytical tools.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching junior staff and providing technical oversight.

  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, with clear communication skills to translate complex analytics into actionable insights.

  • Experience working in modernizing data environments (e.g., data lakes, ADM/EDL, dashboards) is a plus.

  • Hands‑on work in mortality, morbidity and/or lapse experience studies is a plus
