This is a permanent opportunity for someone with strong actuarial capability who is ready to step into a hands-on role with ownership across modelling, pricing and business insights. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we assess risk, optimise performance and improve outcomes.

From day one, you’ll be working across portfolio analytics, statistical modelling and system enhancements, partnering with stakeholders and contributing to key business decisions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Analysing portfolio performance, risk trends and underwriting outcomes
• Building and refining predictive models (claims frequency and severity)
• Recommending pricing and underwriting changes based on model insights and analysis
• Designing and delivering reporting to support business decision making
• Leading improvement initiatives across systems, processes and analytics

• Advanced analytical and modelling capability
• Strong programming and data manipulation skills (SQL, SAS, R, Python or similar)
• Strong Excel and advanced computer skills
• Confident communicator who can translate technical insights to stakeholders
• Proactive, commercially minded and focused on continuous improvement and attention to detail
• Able to effectively manage multiple priorities and switch between tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines

What will help you succeed

• 4–7 years’ experience in an actuarial role
• Progress towards actuarial qualifications (Part I / II / III) preferred
• Experience with statistical modelling and pricing data analysis, modelling or programming
• Strong Excel and advanced computer skills
• Ability to interpret and communicate data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong programming skills (SQL, SAS, R, Python or similar)
• Understanding of general insurance and business processes
