Job Description

Proposed Schedule: 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm with flexibility.

The Senior Accountant shall have responsibility for the managing the general ledger for Hudson Headwaters Health Network and affiliates and shall work with the accounting team to provide accurate and timely financial information. The accountant responsibility includes oversight of the general ledger related to the requirements for UDS reporting, Medicare Cost Reports, Medicaid Cost Reports and the annual audit.


• Overall management of HHHN general ledger, including maintaining chart of accounts.
• Prepares revenue journal entries.
• Coordinates the monthly general ledger close.
• Preparation of monthly operating bank reconciliation
• Reconciles supporting schedules to the general ledger including assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses that need to be maintained for the annual audit.
• Reconciles accruals & inventories on a monthly basis.
• Preparation of UDS report, Medicare cost report, Medicaid cost report.
• Participates in the annual audit.
• Reconciliation of Federal and State grants
• Monthly review of reconciliations prepared by Senior Staff & Staff Accountants
• Assists finance team members with general ledger coding.
• Fixed Asset Management and reconciliations.
• Various month end reconciliations & tasks for Hudson Headwaters related entities.
• Work with Senior Staff & Staff Accountant to cross train to cover your responsibilities.
• Serve on HHHN committees that support the Mission, Vision and Core Values; participate with enthusiasm and engagement
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 3 - 4 years Healthcare related general ledger experience strongly preferred
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and financial platforms
• Must have good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
• Must be able to communicate effectively
• Ability to prioritize and cope with the stress from deadlines in a positive manner, puts emphasis on financial confidentiality
• Exceptional analytical skills

The pay range for this position is $72,000 - $75,000/ annually and will be determined based on skills and experience.
