Job Description

At a glance:

This is a Senior Accountant position that focuses on client accounts in partnership with multiple teams throughout the agency. This position expands beyond basic accounts receivable functions into balance reconciliation and reporting. Experience with accounts receivable, the ability to work directly with clients, a desire to collaborate with teams outside of finance and proficient technical skills will make a candidate a great addition to this team.

While this is a remote role, periodic travel and accommodating meetings in different US time zones is expected.

What does a Senior Accountant, Client Finance do at Rain?

Coordinates all financial aspects or needs of a client including, but not limited to:

  • Accounting / Finance
    • Manages client level accounts receivable – incoming and outgoing correspondence
    • Driver of financial processes and compliance across bespoke and unique client environment
    • Analyzes and executes monthly revenue recognition according to GAAP
    • Monitors financial accruals and budgets
    • Assists with various ad hoc financial projects
    • An ability to pivot and prioritize based on individual client needs
    • Manages client aging and cash collections
  • Cross Team Collaboration
    • Manages client financial onboarding in conjunction with client service
    • Prepares, reviews and approves invoices in tandem with client service
    • Leads financial review meetings
    • Partners with client teams to ensure productive and accurate client financial management
    • Interfaces with agency executive leadership
  • Client Collaboration
    • Maintains a clear and transparent company image to our clients
    • Prepares and reviews external and internal client reporting and analysis

What makes a great Senior AR Accountant at our agency?

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field plus 2 years’ experience or 4+ years’ experience, respectively
  • Accounts Receivable experience required
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Dynamics D365 project module preferred
  • Strong knowledge, comfort and proficiency with Excel
  • Able to follow direction and deliver as instructed with great attention to detail
  • Ability to make independent judgment calls using the core values of the team and company as guideposts
  • Able and seek to understand the big picture
