About the role

We're seeking a detail-focused Accounts Payable Officer to join our Payments division. Working closely with the team, you'll process daily AP payment runs, manage Accounts Payable enquiries, reconcile statements accurately and on time, and ensure the division's filing and archiving requirements are kept up to date.

Core responsibilities

  • Manage and process creditor payments in our Jobpac financial system
  • Code and process prompt payment batches
  • Receive and respond to accounts payable enquiries from major accounts
  • Complete monthly accounts payable statement reconciliations
  • Undertake electronic data processing (EDP) tasks
  • Support the Treasury Operations Manager and team with daily cash flow reporting
  • Assist with monthly filing and archiving
  • Coordinate and prepare statutory declarations
  • Liaise effectively with project staff across the BMD Group
  • Carry out general accounts payable duties as required

Skills and experience

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capacity to work effectively in a high-volume processing environment
  • A genuine commitment to high work standards and a strong work ethic
  • Confidence communicating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with Jobpac and/or TechnologyOne (TechOne) highly regarded
