ABOUT PORTO & POSITION:

To support our European intensive growth, the Group has decided to build a Center based in Porto with the aim to provide administrative and financial support to the European subsidiaries. In this context, we are seeking for a accounts payable french speaker. This role will report to the Accounts payable team leader of the SSC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and oversee Accounts Payable activities within your scope, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to deadlines;
• Act as a referent for AP processes, supporting and guiding junior team members;
• Manage the full AP cycle: invoice processing, validation, posting, and payment follow-up;
• Monitor and analyze supplier accounts, ensuring proper reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies;
• Ensure proper accounting treatment and follow-up of: FNP (Accrued Expenses), CCA (Prepaid Expenses), Provisions and Advances and down payments on orders;
• Take ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met;
• Perform analytical reviews and justify balances related to AP accounts;
• Act as a key interface with internal stakeholders (finance, controlling, operations) and external suppliers;
• Identify process improvements and contribute to the optimization of AP workflows;
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Minimum/Essential Skills/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
• Minimum 6–7 years of experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting;
• Strong experience in closing activities (monthly, quarterly, yearly);
• Proven knowledge of accruals (FNP), prepayments (CCA), provisions, and advance payments;
• Experience in a Shared Service Center (SSC) environment is a strong plus;
• Good knowledge of SAP and Excel;
• Fluent in French and English;
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail;
• Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities;
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and proactive approach.
