Summary:

Performs and coordinates the detailed accounting functions as it related to Accounts Payable; Exercises independent and objection judgement while following established accounting principles and procedures when performing designated duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Processes high volume of expense by reviewing, validating appropriate approvers, verifying appropriate sales tax charges, and verifying information prior to posting invoice data into accounting software
2. Assists with managing Accounts Payable mailbox used for invoice submission and vendor communications; compiles invoices for processing; addresses vendor questions
3. Effectively communicates with outside vendors and internal EverTrue employees to acquire outstanding invoices and information
4. Tracks and follows-up on outstanding invoices, and analyzes and resolves any disputes on invoices
5. Assists the A/P Manager with compiling weekly payments, ACH, Paymode, AutoPay, Purchasing card, employee reimbursement, and checks
6. Process and audit all resident refunds per EverTrue policy
7. Runs and manages various daily payables processes, reconciles the Purchasing Card transactions, and autopay bank account
8. Investigates and resolves issues associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders in Microsoft D365 and Exflow accounts payable system
9. Responsible for Vendor Master Data oversight which includes reviewing supplier information as needed (name change, remit to address, 1099 information, etc.)
10. Mentors and trains new associates
11. Assumes the responsibility for special activities, projects, and analysis as needed to support the Finance Department
12. Performs an active role in improving and streamlining processes in the accounts payable department to improve productivity and efficiency, eliminating redundancy; Demonstrates a flexible attitude towards ongoing process improvements and financial system enhancements
13. Performs other duties to support the Accounting Department, including but not limited to providing coverage for A/P team members, including the A/P Manager’s responsibilities, at times and as designated)

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Associates Degree required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred
• At least 5 years of prior experience
• Experience in Microsoft D365 Accounts Payable and Exflow, preferred
• Solid experience with an Accounts Payable Automation software, required
• Strong organizational skills; detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Solid Microsoft Office Excel skills
• Accounts payable or general accounting experience, required

Working Environment:

A well-lit and ventilated working area. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Normal working hours M-F. Willingness to work extra hours, when required. Is subject to frequent interruptions. Occasional travel from EverTrue facility to facility may be required.

Pay grade: 12

Pay range: $23.55/hour to $37.75/hour
