Position Title: Senior Accounts Payable & Payroll Manager
Department: Business Office
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
FLSA: Exempt
Supervisor responsibilities: Yes, responsible for supervising accounts payable/payroll personnel.
Starting Rate: $ 80,454.40 - $83,844.80 annually

General Description:
Develops, implements, manages and oversees all bi-weekly accounts payable and payroll activity. This role will lead and investigate inconsistencies in data and procedures, ensures accuracy, and makes recommendations for changes in systems and processes. This role is responsible for supervising accounts payable/payroll personnel for timely and efficient processing. This position is also an integral part of the Business Office by regularly communicating payroll standards, rules and practices to employees and supervisors, in addition to accounts payable standards and rules.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
10. Analyzes, reconciles, and reports bi-weekly payroll data to the CFO, identifying trends and resolving discrepancies. In HRIS evaluation, this position will participate as a key team participant in any evaluation of current and new HRIS systems.
11. Reviews and reconciles employee PTO accrual balances on a regular basis.
12. Resolves payroll and expense management questions and concerns within established guidelines, collaborating directly with employees and/or supervisors.
13. Supervises Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist(s) and serves as backup for the Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist to ensure continuity of operations during TRE operating hours.
14. Works in partnership with People Services Department and/or Human Resources Team and other departments when processing employee pay actions and retroactive payments. Meets monthly and as needed on HR and Payroll functions related to timely payroll deadlines, open enrollment, paycheck discrepancies and other time entry system needs.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum: Two years of accounts payable and/or payroll experience.
Preferred: Four to five years of accounts payable and/or payroll experience.
Minimum: High school diploma, college courses in accounting preferred.
Preferred: Associate degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, business management, or closely related field. Payroll certification preferred or ability to obtain certification within one year of service.
Material and Equipment Directly Used: Telephone, computers, printers, photocopier and scanning machines, 10-key calculator, word processing and spreadsheet software, web-based portals and electronic databases.
Working Environment/Physical Activities: Office. Moderate physical activity required, such as walking, sitting, standing, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.A working vehicle, valid CO driver’s license (unless active Military family), and minimum insurance levels ($100,000/$300,000/$100,000 liability coverage recommended) are required.
