RAKBANK, also known as the National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah (P.J.S.C), is one of the oldest and most dynamic banks in the UAE. Founded in 1976, the Bank underwent a major transformation in 2001, with a shift in focus from Corporate Banking to Personal and Business Banking.

Today, the Bank offers a wide range of personal and business banking services throughout its 21 branches and its portfolio of electronic banking solutions, which include Telephone and Digital Banking. It also offers Sharia-compliant personal and business banking services via its Islamic Banking unit, RAKislamic.

RAKBANK is a public joint stock company, headquartered in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, in the UAE. Its Head Office is situated in the RAKBANK Building on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in Ras Al Khaimah. Join us as a Senior Accounts Executive

The role holder plays a crucial role in managing financial transactions, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role supports the financial health of the organization by providing critical financial insights, maintaining robust financial controls, and ensuring timely financial reporting.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices and collection of receivables.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for preparing periodic financial management reports to ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of financial information as required to monitor the profitability and liquidity.
  • Assist in financial closing process& preparing quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Authorise and verify all accounting entries relating to settlement of overhead expenses on bank wide basis.
  • Ensure financial records follow policy, procedures, standards and reporting requirements, plus any relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Analyse financial information to identify and initiate improvements to work, customer service, quality, work processes and organisational matters to contribute to business efficiency goals.
  • Gather data, collate information, produce, and submit reports to management to ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of information to management as required.
  • Ensure that individuals under supervision have appropriate levels of competency and skills to effectively carry out their roles.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and support to new or less experienced team members to speed induction or generally raise team effectiveness.
  • Perform any other duties or tasks as required or instructed by the line manager to support the smooth operation of the department.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting / Finance or Economics, or related field, MBA preferred.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in banking or financial services, with a focus on financial analysis and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
