The role

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Accounting Manager to own and scale our accounting operations as Coram continues to grow across the U.S., UK, and India.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Finance to own the month-end close, financial reporting, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and internal controls. You’ll also lead the accounting side of our transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite, prepare the company for its first external audit, and manage our Finance Manager.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building and improving processes, embraces AI and automation, and wants to grow with the company. For the right person, there is a clear path to Controller.

  • Remain hands-on, taking ownership of complex accounting issues and critical deliverables

Skills and qualifications

  • 6–9 years of progressive accounting experience, beginning in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) followed by industry experience
  • Proven experience owning the month-end close, managing revenue recognition under ASC 606, and participating in external audits
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Demonstrated career progression through promotions, expanded responsibilities, or increasing scope
  • Experience managing or mentoring at least one accounting or finance team member
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to independently resolve complex accounting issues
  • Comfortable leveraging AI, automation, and technology to improve accounting processes
  • High ownership, strong communication skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Ability to work onsite in Sunnyvale five days per week

Nice-to-haves

  • Active CPA license
  • Experience in a high-growth technology or startup environment
  • Hardware accounting experience, including inventory, COGS, and bundled hardware/software revenue
  • Experience implementing NetSuite or another ERP system
  • Experience supporting multi-entity or international accounting operations, particularly in the UK or India
  • Familiarity with ASC 842, ASC 718, and capitalized software accounting
  • Experience preparing a company for its first external audit
  • Experience using AI and automation to modernize accounting workflows
