Whitley Penn, one of the nation’s leading audit, tax, and advisory firms, is looking for Senior Accounting Associate to join our Client Accounting & Advisory Services (“CAAS”) – Fund Administration team! The Fund Administration team provides outsourced accounting solutions to investment fund clients, delivering accuracy, insight, and exceptional service. As part of this dynamic group, you’ll play a key role in supporting client operations and driving financial excellence.

Position Details:

• Title: Senior Accounting Associate - Fund Administration
• Classification: Full-time; Exempt
• Department: CAAS – Fund Administration
• Location: Dallas OR Fort Worth
• Office Expectations/Hours: Fully in-office position; general work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8 hours/day between 8am to 5pm with overtime, as needed.

What You Will Do

• Manage client fund accounting functions, including tracking and recording cash transactions
• Prepare and maintain support schedules and roll-forward reports
• Draft and review fund financial statements and investor reporting packages
• Assist with various accounting tasks that ensure compliance and efficiency

What You Need to Get Here

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; Master’s degree is preferred
• CPA eligibility/license preferred
• 2+ years of experience in accounting
• Experience with financial statement preparation required; Fund Accounting and Administration experience preferred
• Proficiency with Excel required; Sage Intacct, QuickBooks and Juniper Square experience preferred
• A detail-oriented, hard-working team player eager to grow with us
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• A desire to advance your career as our team expands
