Job Description

What You Will Do:

This position is responsible for:

  • Monthly close process including journal entries and variance analysis for warranty in Canada and Non-NAFTA
  • Balance Sheet and Cash Forecast for US and Canada
  • Maintaining accurate subledger liability balances
  • Preparing account reconciliations
  • Maintaining SOX compliance
  • Maintaining and supporting Warranty Model Payment System (WMPS)
  • Completing special projects as required and driving continuous improvement within the organization

What You Will Learn:

  • Monthly accounting close and forecasting
  • Understanding and application of SOX controls
  • Develop relationships various groups including Chrysler Canada finance/accounting, Internal/External Auditors, and IT

Role Will Prepare You For:

  • Any forecasting or accounting close position
  • Special projects activities will provide a basis for most financial analyst positions

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications​:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or related degree
  • Minimum 8 years of finance or accounting related experience, or 7 years with MBA
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Ability to work in a cross functional team through multiple tasks/assignments with relatively short deadlines
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or CMA
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Previous experience with forecasting and interaction with the monthly close process
