Purpose of Job

  • Provide proactive financial decision support to the business and enable financially prudent decision making
  • Support the implementation and application of sound financial management and reporting practices.
  • Support effective, accurate, and timely reporting to internal stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

  • Drive the consolidation of the Southern Africa Business P&L to provide a single view of the business.
  • Create dashboards to make business performance visible.
  • Analyse financial and general operating information to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Analyse and validate results versus budget / forecast.
  • Communicate monthly reporting requirements and provide guidelines to OME financial teams, driving standardisation and consistency.
  • Track the financial results, perform business and producing asset profitability analysis and advise the business on any key risks and vulnerabilities or where they may be need for interventions.
  • Prepare a monthly report identifying key results, variances and opportunities to the forecast, budget and prior year.
  • Analyse and evaluate the impact of key economic indicators changes on profit expectations.
  • Perform variance analysis against annual budget, prior year, previous month and forecasts. Review variance analysis for annual reports.
  • Support key deliverables to the Group FP&A team (PVPY, Quarterly BPM, Analyst book information, BPM and Results Announcements Question and Answer documents etc).
  • Maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, financial systems and reporting efficiency
  • Uses data analytics to generate reports, analyse the results, identify trends and anticipate movements in the results
  • Drive compliance and maintain controls regarding adherence to SOX requirements.

Formal Education

  • 3-4-year Relevant University Degree
