M SAN GRUPA is the leading distributor of air conditioners and heat pumps in the Adria region. We are proud of our home brand VIVAX and its development is of great importance. Since 2004, we have expanded our portfolio to include hundreds of products across five categories: Air Conditioning, Audio Devices, Small Household Appliances, Home Appliances, and Smart Devices.

About the Role:

We are expanding our operations in Spain and are looking for a Senior Accountant to provide accounting support and ensure compliance with local financial regulations.

This is a fully hands-on, independent role that requires initiative and daily involvement in all financial processes - from bookkeeping and payroll to statutory reporting, allowances, travel orders and communication with authorities.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Defining and continuously improving accounting policies in line with business needs.
• Representing the company before auditors, tax authorities, and state institutions.
• Preparing annual work plans and supervise employees to achieve goals.
• Setting performance indicators, monitor results, and improve efficiency.
• Managing reporting processes and ensure timely preparation of financial reports (monthly, periodic, annual, consolidated) in line with regulations.
• Monitoring accounting and tax legislation and providing guidance for compliance.
• Coordinating with auditors and authorities; consult within area of expertise.
• Supporting the alignment of accounting processes across the group.
• Overseeing payroll processes and ensure compliance with legal and internal regulations.

It would be great if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of local accounting, tax, and financial regulations (mandatory submission of all legal reports; i.e. 347, 349, VAT, CIT)
• SAP experience is mandatory
• Proven track record of delivering quality results on time and ability to make data-driven decisions
• Hands-on professional, adaptable, open to feedback and strong in teamwork
• Excellent organizational and people development skills, with potential to build and mentor a future team
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office
• Fluency in English
• Category B driving licence
• Experience in distribution industry is a plus

Initially, this is an independent, stand-alone role with full ownership of local accounting operations (h igh level of operational involvement). As the business grows, you will have the opportunity to build, lead and mentor your own team.
