We are currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in London.
At Travelers, our accounting team plays a critical role as the steward of our financial information and control environment. The team ensures compliance with internal policies and external requirements, while providing timely, accurate, and insightful reporting that supports effective decision-making across the business.
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate books and records, supporting both internal and external reporting requirements, and upholding a strong financial control framework.
This is a varied and hands-on role where you will prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities, support the delivery of accurate and timely financial information, contribute to maintaining and enhancing financial controls, partner with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business, and play a key role in ongoing finance transformation initiatives, including the implementation of a new sub-ledger system.
We are particularly interested in candidates who bring a strong accounting background, ideally within the Lloyd's or London Market, experience working with US GAAP, a proactive, analytical mindset with strong attention to detail, exposure to financial planning & analysis (FP&A), experience with finance systems and system implementations (Phinsys experience would be advantageous), and a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
This opportunity would suit an ambitious accountant or financial planning professional looking to step into a senior role within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Travelers is an equal opportunity employer. We value the unique abilities and talents each individual brings to our organization and recognize that we benefit in numerous ways from our differences.
If you are a candidate and have specific questions regarding the physical requirements of this role, please send us an email so we may assist you.
