As a member of our Finance team, you are to support the accounting function for the Latin America (Mexico & Colombia) region in Finance. In coordination with other South Pole employees across the globe, you ensure accurate and timely management of all related transactions. The position stands out by the possibility to learn on the job and the ability to gain new skills as you grow in your role. In addition, you assist in closings, are involved in specific accounting projects, and collaborate in process improvements, amongst others. Main tasks & responsibilities:

- Process Accounts Receivable and Payables;

- Aged creditors and debtors reporting, including following up on overdue AR;

- Be the first point of contact for finance matters and manage the LATAM team group mailbox and Jira tickets;

- Processing payments and assisting with the reconciliation of the bank accounts;

- General ledger reconciliations;

- Process employees' expense claims and company card reconciliation;

- Monthly and annual reporting for the Latin America region;

- Maintain bi-weekly cashflow forecast for the Latin America region;

- Maintain Fixed Asset Registers for the Latin America region;

- Intercompany transactions reconciliations;

- Manage audits of the Colombian entity;

- Manage the tax compliance matters of the LATAM region;

- Coordinate daily business and specific projects with employees around the globe;

Actively support the finance team with monthly, quarterly, and annual closin

Requirements:

- Federal diploma of commercial apprenticeship (M-Profil), or comparable education

- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an international company. High-energy, flexible, and responsive working style

- Strong knowledge of IFRS is a plus, VAT regulations, and accounting principles.

- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel

- Excellent Spanish and English skills

- Mexican national, or holder of a valid required work visa in Mexico
