About the role

As a Senior Accountant at Byfields, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting, taxation, and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of blue-chip agribusiness clients. Based in our Belmont office, you will manage client relationships autonomously, providing expert advice on tax compliance, tax planning, BAS and GST obligations, financial reporting, and
business performance.

The role requires demonstrated experience managing larger and more complex client groups, including the preparation and review of tax packs, BAS returns, GST reconciliations, financial statements, and finance contract arrangements. You will work independently allowing management the ability to continue facing front to our clients, providing the best service, the Byfields way.

What we’re looking for

You’re a detail-focused, team-oriented professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proactive mindset. You’re ready to hit the ground running while also continuing
to grow.

You have:

• 4+ years of public accounting experience
• Experience as a senior accountant or strong experience as an intermediate accountant
• Strong technical proficiency, backed by attention to detail and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to build lasting client relationships
• A keen interest in, or previous experience within, the agriculture sector is highly regarded
• A commitment to professional growth and a team-oriented mindset
• CPA or CA qualifications (desirable)
