For our SSL INEUR Head Office in Hamburg, we are looking to fill the position of Senior Accountant & Controller (f/m/d) at the earliest possible date.

Your responsibilities

• Responsibility for monthly reporting of 12 shipping entities (subsidiaries) within the group consolidation tool
• Monthly reconciliation of intercompany balances within the group system to ensure data consistency
• Preparation and provision of documents and reports for external stakeholders
• Review of the reporting packages prepared by the 3rd party (subsidiaries)
• Preparation of profitability and efficiency analysis and derivation of actionable recommendations
• Responsibility for improving accounting processes and internal controls
• Preparation of financial and budget plans, forecasts, and rolling projections to support business steering
• Participation in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
• Supporting internal and external audits
• Continuous development of controlling instruments and reporting tools
• Active participation in cross functional projects aimed at optimizing existing financial processes, systems, and workflows

Your profile

• Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance or Controlling, or a commercial qualification with additional certification (e.g. Certified Accountant IHK)
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable position
• Confident use of accounting and reporting systems, ideally with solid knowledge of MS Excel, SAP and OneStream is an advantage
• Practical experience in preparing monthly and annual financial statements as well as financial and management reporting
• Industry experience in shipping or logistics is desirable but not required
• Strong analytical skills and a precise, structured working style
• High level of personal responsibility, reliability, and professional integrity
• Team oriented, dynamic personality with a solution focused mindset
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage
