Senior Accountant (Client Accounting Services)

Advisory-Focused Accounting | Trusted Advisor Role | Business Consulting

Compensation: $80,000–$110,000 Base + Bonus
Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan
Schedule Flexible Hybrid

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant – Client Accounting Services (CAS) to work directly with business clients, helping improve their financial reporting, accounting processes, and business decision-making.

This is not simply a bookkeeping role.

The Opportunity

You'll serve as an outsourced accounting and advisory resource for clients while helping them improve financial visibility, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory

• Serve as a trusted advisor to assigned clients
• Present and explain financial results
• Assist clients with budgeting and forecasting
• Provide accounting process recommendations

Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare financial statements
• Manage month-end close processes
• Perform reconciliations
• Maintain general ledger accuracy

Technology & Process Improvement

• Support QuickBooks implementations
• Improve accounting workflows
• Assist with outsourced controller and CFO services

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 3–7 years accounting experience
• Financial statement preparation experience
• Strong communication skills

Preferred

• Public accounting experience
• QuickBooks expertise
• Client-facing experience
• Advisory or outsourced accounting background
