As a Senior Accountant on the cash team at Erickson Senior Living, you’ll play an important role in supporting accurate financial reporting, strong accounting controls, and timely analysis across our communities and corporate departments. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of cash accounting transactions, and partner with others to solve problems and improve processes. As an emerging leader, you’ll also help develop staff accountants through training, coaching, and review of their work.

Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 per year, plus eligibility for annual bonus.

How you will make an impact

  • Own the preparation and review of account reconciliations, workpapers, schedules, and journal entries to support strong internal controls, audit readiness, accurate reporting, and clear insight into account balances.
  • Record cash transactions for assigned banks for multiple corporate and community accounts.
  • Partner with community finance teams, Treasury, and corporate departments to resolve cash-related questions, improve coordination, and support timely financial reporting.
  • Research and resolve variances and reconciling items timely, using sound judgment to identify root causes, escalate issues appropriately, and recommend process improvements.
  • Support year-end audits by preparing clear, well-supported responses, analysis, and documentation for financial statements and related reporting needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement by strengthening reconciliation quality, supporting close efficiency, and enhancing procedures as business needs evolve.
  • Review staff accountant work, provide coaching and feedback, and help elevate consistency, accuracy, and accountability across the team.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment by sharing knowledge, supporting peers, and approaching work with ownership and a continuous-improvement mindset.

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in corporate accounting, cash accounting, financial reporting, or a related environment.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, journal entries, and internal control practices.
  • Experience with BlackLine or similar general ledger and reconciliation tools preferred.
  • CPA, MBA, or progress toward a professional certification preferred.
