If you enjoy a hands-on environment where your work is visible, your contribution matters, and you can help strengthen a growing organization, MedOne offers an opportunity to make an impact.

THE OPPORTUNITY

MedOne Surgical is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage the company's day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate, reliable financial records. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both the detailed work of bookkeeping and the responsibility of managing more complex accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, monthly close, and financial reporting.

Working closely with the President, fractional CFO, and operations team, this individual will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial information, supporting inventory accounting, and keeping accounting processes organized and running smoothly.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including recording transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and keeping accurate supporting records.
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor invoices, customer payments, account reconciliations, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and other routine accounting adjustments.
  • Complete the monthly accounting close, including reconciliations, supporting schedules, and routine financial statements.
  • Maintain inventory accounting records, reconcile inventory balances, assist with physical counts, and work with operations to resolve discrepancies.
  • Record inventory adjustments and manufacturing-related accounting transactions and support product costing activities.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and payroll-related accounting records.
  • Prepare aging reports, expense summaries, account analyses, and other routine financial reports.
  • Provide accurate accounting records and supporting schedules to the fractional CFO and outside accountants for budgeting, forecasting, tax preparation, and year-end reporting.
  • Work with purchasing, production, customer service, and vendors to resolve accounting and transaction discrepancies.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, accuracy, and efficiency.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, including bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Strong experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting, including preparation of routine financial statements.
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to independently manage accounting responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, vendors, and outside professionals.
  • Sound judgment and a commitment to maintaining accurate and confidential financial information.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Accounting experience in manufacturing, medical devices, distribution, or another inventory-based business.
  • Experience with inventory accounting, manufacturing transactions, and product costing.
  • QuickBooks Enterprise experience.
  • Experience working in a small or mid-sized company with an outside CPA or fractional CFO.

READY TO MAKE AN IMPACT?

If you are an experienced accounting professional who enjoys being hands-on, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to be part of a growing company where your work makes a difference, we would like to hear from you.
