Job Description

DRW is a diversified trading firm with over 3 decades of experience bringing sophisticated technology and exceptional people together to operate in markets around the world. We value autonomy and the ability to quickly pivot to capture opportunities, so we operate using our own capital and trading at our own risk.

Headquartered in Chicago with offices throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia, we trade a variety of asset classes including Fixed Income, ETFs, Equities, FX, Commodities and Energy across all major global markets. We have also leveraged our expertise and technology to expand into three non-traditional strategies: real estate, venture capital and cryptoassets.

We operate with respect, curiosity and open minds. The people who thrive here share our belief that it’s not just what we do that matters–it's how we do it. DRW is a place of high expectations, integrity, innovation and a willingness to challenge consensus.

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team supporting a growing investment platform. This person will own day-to-day fund accounting and NAV oversight for a portfolio of US and UK-domiciled vehicles, working alongside our finance, treasury, back-office, and business management teams. Our portfolio spans listed and OTC derivatives, digital assets, and other investment strategies, so you will work across multiple currencies, jurisdictions, fund structures, and instrument types. This is a high- visibility, hands-on role with real ownership over a defined set of funds, supported by an experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Accounting & NAV Oversight

  • Review and validate monthly and quarterly NAV packages prepared by third-party fund administrators; investigate and resolve breaks ahead of sign-off.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly investor reporting, performance figures, and management reporting packages and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Support preparation of annual financial statements and footnotes under US GAAP and/or IFRS, and act as a day-to-day contact for external auditors through the year-end audit.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, expense allocations, and management/performance fee calculations, including equalization, series accounting, and crystallization mechanics where applicable.
  • Review investor-level allocations, capital activity (subscriptions, redemptions, transfers), and partner capital statements.
  • Support valuation and accounting for less liquid and Level 3 positions, including pricing evidence, documentation, and fair value hierarchy classification.
  • Contribute to process documentation and identify opportunities to improve and automate the accounting close as the platform scales.
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for administrators and auditors - Partner with Back-office, Treasury, Investor Relations, Legal, Business Management and the investment team to support the growth of the business and ad hoc analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA preferred, not required.
  • 4–6 years of hedge fund accounting experience gained at a fund administrator, investment manager,

or fund.

  • Hands-on NAV preparation and review experience across a book of funds, including reconciliations, fee

calculations, capital allocations, and investor reporting.

  • Experience accounting for digital assets is a strong plus — particularly derivatives (perpetuals, listed and OTC options), on-chain reconciliation, staking, and digital asset valuation considerations.
  • Practical experience accounting for derivatives, including margin, collateral, and settlement.
  • Exposure to alternative investment strategies is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of fund structures: master-feeder, standalone, parallel funds, and management company entities, across both US and offshore/UK vehicles.
  • Strong command of US GAAP and IFRS as applied to investment companies (ASC 946 or equivalent).
  • Multi-currency accounting and FX translation experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets across multiple source systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, a high degree of ownership over your work, and the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-moving environment.

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, DRW offers a comprehensive suite of employee benefits including group medical, pharmacy, dental and vision insurance, 401k (with discretionary employer match), short and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance, health savings accounts, and flexible spending accounts.
