Job Description

Senior Accountant Bilingual

Corporate Accounting • ERP Transition • High-Growth Retail Organization

About the Company

We are a rapidly growing Hispanic retail grocery organization operating across multiple states with 18 legal entities and a newly established corporate structure. As we continue to scale, we are transitioning from QuickBooks to a modern ERP platform and strengthening our corporate accounting infrastructure.

This is a high-impact opportunity to join during a critical growth phase and help build scalable, disciplined accounting processes that support long-term expansion.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and self-directed Senior Accountant Bilingual who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This role will be instrumental in managing multi-entity accounting operations, supporting an ERP transition, improving internal controls, and helping establish full-cycle accounting processes at a corporate-level standard.

This is not a transactional role. We are looking for a professional who can independently identify issues, prioritize effectively, and build structure where needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage month-end close across 18 entities
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Perform and analyze multi-entity balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage fixed assets accounting and reconciliations
  • Support ERP implementation and migration from QuickBooks to Microsoft Business Central
  • Identify control gaps and recommend process improvements
  • Develop standardized accounting procedures across retail and corporate entities
  • Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
  • Support audit readiness and documentation
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP application
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and corporate accounting policies

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience in multi-entity or multi-location environments
  • Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, LOOKUP functions, data analysis)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ERP system experience (implementation exposure strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Strong prioritization skills in a fast-moving environment

Preferred

  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Retail, grocery, distribution, or manufacturing experience

Core Competencies

  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong reconciliation and troubleshooting skills
  • Process improvement mindset
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality

Who Will Thrive Here

  • Professionals who take ownership rather than wait for direction
  • Individuals comfortable operating in ambiguity
  • Builders who enjoy creating structure and scalable processes
  • Accountants who think beyond data entry and focus on business impact

Why Join Us

  • High-visibility role with leadership exposure
  • Opportunity to shape corporate accounting processes
  • Participation in ERP transformation
  • Career growth in a rapidly expanding organization
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial environment
