Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on and independent Senior Accountant to take ownership of accounting, financial administration and related processes for our Estonian operations.

This is a key role for someone who enjoys bringing structure, improving processes and taking ownership. Many of the existing processes have been in place for some time and need to be reviewed, clarified and improved. A major area of focus will be bringing order and transparency to inventory and warehouse-related accounting processes.

You will work closely with colleagues across the business and with external accounting partners in Estonia and Sweden. The role combines hands-on accounting with process improvement, payroll and day-to-day financial administration.

Your responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for the Estonian entity
• Manage month-end closing, accruals and regular balance-sheet reconciliations
• Prepare financial and statutory reports and communicate with relevant authorities
• Manage inventory accounting and stock reconciliations, working closely with colleagues responsible for warehouse operations
• Identify discrepancies, investigate their causes and ensure they are resolved
• Establish and maintain clear, reliable monthly reconciliation routines
• Manage monthly payroll independently
• Handle payroll-related administration, including employee benefits such as health insurance and pension arrangements
• Process employee expenses, travel expenses and related documentation
• Manage timesheets, travel documentation and other financial/administrative matters
• Provide administrative support related to employees and finance
• Work with external accounting bureaux in Estonia and Sweden and ensure that information is accurate and delivered on time
• Prepare relevant financial information and reports for management
• Help develop and improve accounting processes, routines and internal controls
• Participate in the further development and implementation of the company's Monitor ERP system
• Bring more structure, transparency and efficiency to existing processes
• Work closely with Estonian colleagues and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations

Requirements

• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong practical experience in bookkeeping, financial administration, reconciliations and reporting
• Experience working as a Senior Accountant or in a similar hands-on accounting role
• At least around 2 years of experience working with inventory / warehouse accounting
• Experience independently managing monthly payroll
• Practical experience with employee expenses, travel administration, timesheets and related documentation
• Good understanding of statutory accounting and reporting requirements in Estonia
• Experience communicating with authorities, auditors and external accounting providers
• Experience with ERP systems; Monitor ERP experience is an advantage
• Fluent Estonian is required
• Good Russian is an advantage, particularly for communication with Russian-speaking colleagues
• English sufficient for communication in an international working environment
