Job Description

Role Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to support financial accounting, reporting, tax compliance, and month-end close activities within a multinational environment.

This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and strong financial controls while partnering with regional and global stakeholders. The successful candidate will also play a key role in finance transformation, automation initiatives, and continuous process improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly financial close and ensure timely local statutory and group reporting submissions.
  • Prepare GL entries of accruals, amortizations, provisions, lease accounting adjustments etc.
  • Manage revenue calculations, invoicing, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting details to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Handle tax compliance activities, including VAT, CIT, annual tax filings, and government reporting.
  • Coordinate statutory audits, tax filing and regulatory compliance matters with external auditors/advisors.
  • Support business registrations, license maintenance, and other corporate compliance activities.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, finance system enhancements, and digital finance initiatives.
  • Ad hoc tasks / projects assigned by reported manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an MNC environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, PRC GAAP, China tax regulations, internal controls, and financial compliance.
  • Hands-on SAP experience is required; SAP S/4HANA experience is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin, written and spoken.
