The Senior Accountant will play a key role within the Accounting team, with a primary focus on general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and month-end close activities. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of assigned accounts, preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations, analyzing account activity, and investigating and resolving discrepancies.
The Senior Accountant will take ownership of assigned accounting processes and close activities while working closely with the Accounting Manager and broader Accounting team to meet reporting deadlines and maintain strong accounting controls. The role will also contribute to process improvements, audit support, financial reporting, and other accounting initiatives as needed.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations, accruals, and financial analysis.
Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Support customer account reconciliations and assist with resolving billing or payment discrepancies as needed.
Investigate and resolve reconciling items between the general ledger and supporting schedules.
Assist with accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts.
Assist with internal and external audit requests by providing support schedules and documentation.
Prepare ad hoc financial reports, analyses, and schedules for management.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and efficiencies.
Collaborate with other departments to support financial operations and resolve accounting-related issues.
Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
