We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing accurate financial reports, maintaining monthly and yearly closing activities, and overseeing accounts receivable functions. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies while supporting the organization's financial objectives.
Financial Reporting
Prepare accurate monthly financial and management reports.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support management decision-making.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.
Month-End & Year-End Closing
Perform monthly and annual closing activities in a timely manner.
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and audit schedules.
Accounts Receivable
Manage the accounts receivable function, including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliations.
Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue balances.
Ensure customer accounts are accurately maintained and payments are properly allocated.
Accounting Operations
Maintain the general ledger and ensure all accounting transactions are recorded accurately.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
System & Financial Management
Process and maintain accounting records using the Yardi system.
Prepare and maintain financial schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
Ensure all financial records are organized, accurate, and maintained in accordance with company policies.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an ACCA qualification.
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a Senior Accountant or similar accounting role.
Mandatory experience using Yardi software
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Fluency in Arabic or English (written and spoken).
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
