Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing accounting operations and financial reporting for the eMobility business, including EV charging infrastructure and Energy & Power Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services. This role operates as a key finance partner to operations and is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely close processes.

This position requires a strong understanding of project-based accounting, including percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting, and experience working in a dynamic, high-growth environment. The role will also provide oversight of accounts payable activities and support audit and SOX compliance efforts.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. Occasional standing and walking is required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • Own and manage the monthly close process for eMobility operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines
  • Oversee accounting for O&M and project-based activities, including revenue recognition (percentage-of-completion where applicable), job costing, and margin analysis
  • Act as a primary finance partner to operations, providing monthly financial commentary to operational leadership, including key variances vs. budget and prior periods
  • Lead accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and proper coding (high-volume environment)
  • Maintain and ensure integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting structure within JD Edwards (JDE)
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Execute and document SOX controls and support internal and external audit requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, billing, collections, and operations teams to ensure alignment across financial processes
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities in coordination with FP&A and operations
  • Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, standardization, and scalability
  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior accounting staff or shared service teams as needed
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
  • · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • · 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • · Experience in project-based accounting, construction, energy, or service environments strongly preferred
  • · Experience with percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting preferred
  • · Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) or similar ERP system preferred
  • · Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting processes
  • · Experience with SOX compliance and audit support preferred
  • · Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
