Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: NanJing

The job

Reporting for China LEs

  • Original vouchers, preparing accounting entries, processing accounts, and generating financial reports.
  • Conduct tax filing and payment processes to ensure compliance, and assist in tax audits and planning.
  • Manage company cash flow, monitor liquidity status, and prepare regular cash budget and utilization analysis reports.
  • Responsible for daily financial accounting tasks, including reviewing

Controls and Governance Focused

  • Monitoring payment terms to mitigate bad debt risks before contract approval
  • Generate periodic collection performance reports (AR aging and bad debt etc)
  • Proactively manage overdue accounts by issuing timely payment reminders, escalating collection efforts for delinquent receivables, make collection plans with RSM to accelerate cash inflow
  • Strictly enforce expense policies by reviewing reimbursement documents (e.g., travel, entertainment, procurement) for invoice compliance, budget alignment, and approval workflow integrity.
  • Block out-of-budget/abnormal expenses and drive corrective actions; generate expense analysis reports with cost-saving recommendations (e.g., vendor renegotiation, process streamlining).
  • Maintain expense ledgers with 100% data accuracy, enabling real-time budget tracking for business units.
  • Regularly report to Financial Manager on key financial metrics (e.g., cash flow, expense variance rate, tax risks).
  • Collaborate with business departments to align financial processes with operational needs, and explain policy requirements (e.g., expense reimbursement rules, budget adjustment procedures).

Business Partner Culture

  • Consolidation of China region financial data (e.g., revenue, costs, cash flow, account balances) through designated systems (e.g., HFM, Sage) or data interfaces as required by headquarters, ensuring real-time alignment with headquarters’ systems.
  • Provide China region monthly/quarterly financial reports as required by headquarters (e.g., revenue analysis, cost center reports, cash flow forecasts).
  • Be an enthusiastic advocate for our combined China business performance
  • Be an enthusiastic advocate for implementation of our global transformation projects in China

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of financial work experience, with familiarity with MNC financial processes.
  • Prior experience in expense review or cost control is preferred.
  • Proficient in financial software (e.g., UFida, Sage, HFM) and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify anomalies through data (e.g., expense fluctuations, budget variances).
  • Fluent in English reading/writing (emails, reports, meetings), capable of preparing financial reports independently in English.
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication skills, able to collaborate across time zones with headquarters.
  • Logical thinking, attention to detail, high accountability, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
