Headquartered in Rauma, Finland, with additional offices across Europe, our manufacturing sites are located in Finland, Sweden, and Poland. Oras Group is owned by Oras Invest – a Finnish family business and long-term industrial owner.

We are now seeking experienced Senior Accountant to strengthen our accounting team in Rauma Finland.

What you will do
In this role, you will ensure that the IFRS and statutory requirements for accounting of Oras Oy are met. You need to ensure that the company’s accounting and taxation is performed with good quality and accuracy and that all internal and external reporting are handled on time.

Current Oras Oy Chief Accountant is to retire in couple of years, and you will gradually take over those tasks. After taking over the accounting of Oras Oy, you will be responsible for correctness of general ledger, month closing and year-end closing activities including financial statements, VAT and income tax related tasks.

Before her retirement you will take care of accounting tasks of Oras Invest Oy, participate in finance projects and gradually gather the knowledge for Oras Oy accounting and taxation tasks as well as building the readiness to take over the Oras Oy accounting.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have the following
We are looking for a dynamic accounting professional who possesses a strong ability to adapt to changes smoothly. You have ability to learn new things quickly, and a passion for finding new, improved ways to optimize our daily workflows.

While you are fully capable of working independently and taking complete ownership of your tasks, you also bring strong cooperation skills and the confidence to guide, support, and instruct people in a truly constructive way. You also have:

- few years work experience in GL accounting
- knowledge of financial statements and tax declarations (FI)
- basic accounting studies
- knowledge in legislation: VAT (AVL), accounting laws (KPL), corporate law (OYL), taxation laws (EVL); IFRS as a benefit
- good office programs and Excel skills
- good English skills, other language skills are beneficial

The gross salary in this position is 3.425-4.280 EUR/month, based on qualifications and relevant experience.
