Atex has 15 legal entities in UK, Australia, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Finland, France, Singapore, Canada, and US. The Finance department is split across the world with resources in different countries. The candidate will be working with the Karachi team as an extension of the Finance Team.

The Position:
We are seeking a qualified Senior Accountantfor one of our business units inUK The successful candidate will be able to accuratelymaintainfinancial records and reports,preparationand generation of monthly financial analysis reports, have a strong understanding of the intricacies of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial transactions within an organization. The Senior Accountant will have excellent communication, business, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Recognition of revenue as per IFRS 15 and CSI policies along with updating detailed revenuereportmonthly.

  • Review all costs and invoices to ensure prepaid costs and accruals are postedcorrectlyeach month.

  • Recognition of new leases andmaintainlease schedules as per IFRS 16.

  • Maintain monthly BS Reconciliations with supports.

  • Monthly upload local statutory accounts TB toDynamics GP and Dynamics 365.

  • Maintain monthly reconciliation of local statutory accountsto managementaccounts(IFRS).

  • Maintain and update bank transactions on a weekly basis along with a detailed reviewforany cash surplus or deficit.

  • Fixed Assets Management (fixed asset additions,disposalsand reconciliation)

  • Prepare AR aging reports,assistin preparation of the allowance of doubtful account provision and supporting material.

  • Assistin the preparation of internal monthly financial statements related to monthly,quarterlyand annual reporting within deadlines and with high attention to accuracy.

  • Reconcile the AP and AR Subledgers to the General Ledger.

  • Prepare workings for intercompany cross charges andmaintainmonthly Intercompany reconciliations along with posting FX revaluation journals.

  • Provide support to financeteamduring internal and external audits.

Professional Acumen

  • Be proactive and eager to contribute and learn, ask lots of questions, and provide solutions. Maintaining a continuous improvement mindset and proactivelyidentify, review, and implement process improvements.

  • When not receiving information or supportrequired, proactively, and aggressivelyidentifyand escalate this.Don'taccept roadblocks.

Technical and Educational Qualifications

  • Professionallyqualified accountant with minimum 3 years of professional experience isrequired

  • A strong understanding of accounting guidelines, particularly IFRS-15 and IFRS-16 is strongly preferred, andacquisitionaccounting is a plus.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize competing deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communicationskills.

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including advanced use of Excel workbooks.
