Location: Remote – Latin America Preferred (EST Time Zone Preferred)

We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant with strong general accounting experience and expertise in tax, audit, and advisory services to join our growing team. You will play a key role in managing client engagements, preparing and reviewing financial and tax deliverables, and supporting advisory initiatives across multiple industries. Your work will directly impact client financial accuracy, compliance, and long-term business success.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, trusts, and non-profit organizations
Plan, execute, and document audit, review, and compilation engagements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and GAAS standards
Prepare financial statements, workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules with accuracy and timeliness
Conduct tax and accounting research on complex issues and communicate findings clearly to clients and internal leadership
Support CFO advisory engagements including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, KPI reporting, and month-end/year-end close processes
Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional, responsive, and proactive communication
Mentor and review the work of junior accountants and support their professional development
Assist with process improvements, special projects, and firm-wide operational initiatives
Stay current on changes in U.S. tax law, accounting standards, and compliance requirements
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3–5+ years of general accounting experience supporting U.S.-based clients
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, tax regulations, audit procedures, and financial reporting standards
Experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns
Proficiency with accounting and tax software such as QuickBooks, CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar platforms
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Availability to work within or overlap significantly with EST business hours- CPA license or active CPA track preferred (or equivalent advanced accounting certification in LATAM markets)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting clients across industries such as technology, real estate, healthcare, manufacturing, professional services, or retail
Prior experience in advisory or outsourced CFO services
Experience mentoring junior staff in a public accounting environment
Familiarity with U.S.-based accounting firm workflows and client service expectations
