Job Description

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end close processes, including preparing and posting journal entries to the general ledger

• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and research/resolve reconciling items

• Review and investigate general ledger expense accounts for unusual charges

• Prepare various schedules and reports for month and quarter end closing

• Perform variance analysis and prepare commentary explaining period-over-period fluctuations

• Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment

• Assist with internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries

• Review purchase requisitions for appropriate account coding

• Set up new vendors in Oracle cloud and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained

• Support budget and forecasting activities

• Identify and make recommendations for continuous process improvement

• Mentor and provide guidance to accounting staff while fostering a collaborative team environment

• Participate in special projects and perform other accounting duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or closely related field required

• 5+ years’ progressive experience at a Senior Accountant level, preferably with a publicly traded company

• Strong ERP and accounting systems experience required (Oracle a plus)

• Experience with any of the following preferred: Manufacturing environment, Global organization

Job Conditions: Hybrid office environment.

Physical Demands/Strengths:

• Ability to sit at desk for prolonged periods; use of computer keyboard and telephone.

• Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
