Job Description

  • Assist Assistant Controller and Controller with day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, fixed assets, sales and use tax, financial reporting and results analysis.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts, fixed assets and inventory related accounts.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed.
  • Assist with general ledger entries, identifying fluctuations and root causes; and reconciling and balancing accounts.
  • Assist with month end and year end closing processes.
  • Prepare and file sales and use tax.
  • Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent preferred; preferably in Accounting, Finance or other closely related field.
  • 5+ years relevant, progressive accounting experience; preferably within a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices.
  • Expert technology and computer skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel and Access preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
