The General Administration Department of the Milan Branch manages all activities related to Finance, Accounting, Tax and General Affairs

The team works in close cooperation with Finance Head Office, ensuring alignment with Group standards while fulfilling both local regulatory requirements and Head Office reporting obligations, within a highly regulated banking environment.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support the Finance & General Administration function of the Milan Branch. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy and plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial management, regulatory compliance and effective administrative operations, in coordination with both local stakeholders and Head Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting and bookkeeping activities in compliance with J GAAP, IFRS local requirements and US GAAP reporting
  • Prepare and manage financial and regulatory reporting to Head Office, Central Bank and other authorities.
  • Support financial planning and managerial reporting, including expense budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
  • Manage tax-related activities, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, stamp duties and expatriates’ tax matters, ensuring compliance with deadlines and legislation.
  • Reconcile reciprocal current accounts with Head Office and banking counterparts.
  • Support general administration activities, including facilities management, procurement, accounts payable and supplier contract management.
  • Contribute to the continuous monitoring and update of internal procedures in line with regulatory and legislative changes.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • 8–10 years of experience as a Senior Accountant, preferably within banking or regulated financial institutions.
  • Proven background in accounting, budgeting, expense forecasting and regulatory reporting (Central Bank exposure is a strong plus).

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial and regulatory reporting.

· Solid expertise in tax compliance and corporate taxation

· Experience in budget control and financial analysis.

· Proficiency in MS Office

· Good written and spoken English

Education

· Degree in Economics or Accounting, or equivalent qualification.

Ongoing professional training in accounting, tax or regulatory matters is an advantage
