Job Description

Our award-winning client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. In this vital role, you will play a key role in supporting sound financial decision-making by managing the company's accounting operations, preparing insightful reports, and collaborating on strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive financial statements, analyze trends, and generate presentations for management review.
• Develop and maintain budgets, conduct profitability analysis, and recommend cost control strategies.
• Collaborate on developing and documenting control processes to improve efficiency and support business planning.
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement new ERP systems and ensure effective utilization.
• Process weekly payroll, handle accounting tasks, and perform variance analysis.

Required Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting.
• Previous experience in cost accounting is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Bonus Skills:

• Accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA) is a plus.
• Experience with payroll responsibilities is a plus.
• Strong time management skills and a commitment to deadlines.
